Est souvent également appelée chiffrage. - Discipline ou fonction remplie par le personnel qui réalise les opérations d’estimation, qu’il soit l’exécutant de la tâche estimée, ou affecté uniquement à cette fonction. - Résultat, chiffre résultant de l’opération d’estimation du coût présenté sur un devis, qui conduira lui-même à une offre commerciale ou à un budget.
