Support de l'axe autour duquel un corps tourne. Le lutrin tourne sur son pivot. Le pivot d'une roue de montre. Il désigne, par analogie, dans les conversions qu'une troupe exécute, l'Aile sur laquelle on tourne, ou le point autour duquel se fait la conversion. Les hommes du pivot. En termes de Vénerie, il désigne Chacun des deux os saillants qui sont situés sur l'os frontal du cerf, du daim, du chevreuil et qui portent le bois de ces animaux.
